Team-building Kaland
Playful, movement-based team building that shakes up the routine and brings the members of a team closer to each other.

What truly makes a team a team is that its members pay attention to each other, communicate, adapt, trust one another and respond together to whatever comes up.
In a Kaland we practise all of this not through classic team-building tasks, but in playful, physical situations. Participants step out of their usual roles, connect in new ways and solve situations together for which there is no single, pre-defined right answer.
There is laughter, absurdity, physical challenge, creative problem-solving, shared discovery — and a little step outside the comfort zone too.
The goal is not for everyone to be sporty or skilful, but to do something together that needs each of us — and to enjoy it along the way.
What actually happens?
A typical Kaland team building lasts 2–3 hours, but the length and structure are always tailored to the team and the situation.
We start with a light, get-to-know-you warm-up, then the shared games and movement challenges arrive step by step. Throughout, the team has to pay attention, communicate, adapt and respond creatively together.
By the end we usually reach games and tasks in which the whole team thinks and moves as one — often in quite unusual ways.
Who is it for?
A Kaland works especially well for:
- newly formed teams that want to bond faster,
- teams that rarely meet in person,
- hybrid or remote teams for whom personal connection matters,
- well-established teams that want a break from the everyday,
- leaders and colleagues who want to meet in a more informal setting.
Playful situations also let the usual workplace and hierarchical roles loosen for a while, so participants get to know each other from a new side.
What can a Kaland give a team?
Shared play and movement develop communication, attention to each other and cooperation, while the team meets in a situation where the usual roles are not needed.
A Kaland can help build new relationships, strengthen trust and connect through a shared experience. And it simply feels good to break out of work: movement, laughter, play, recharging.

What people ask.
Do we need to be sporty?
No. We design the tasks so that people of different physical condition and experience can all take part.
Is this classic team building?
Not quite. We have no pre-packaged "team-building game sets" — we shape situations relevant to your team with Kaland tools and methods.
Can it be customised?
Yes. We take into account the team's composition, size, the venue, and the kind of experience or focus you want.
Can it be physically intense?
Yes, but it doesn't have to be. It can be playful, thought-provoking and cooperation-based — or quite wild.
Where can a Kaland take place?
Almost anywhere: in nature, in urban space, indoors or even at your workplace.
